1099 IT Break/Fix Hardware Technician
Position: Independent Contractor (1099)

We are seeking experienced IT Break/Fix Hardware Technicians to provide onsite troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of computers and IT equipment at customer locations in the Prescott and surrounding areas to include distances up to 200 miles.
Responsibilities:
- Repair desktop, laptop, and workstation hardware.
- Replace defective components and peripherals.
- Perform equipment swaps, upgrades, and installations.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware connectivity issues.
- Test equipment and confirm proper operation.
- Document work performed, parts used, and equipment information.
- Provide professional customer service at each site.
- Follow all company and customer policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Requirements:
- Experience with IT hardware repair or break/fix support.
- Strong PC and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to complete service calls within required timeframes.
- Strong communication skills are vital, including clear communication with customers, dispatch, and management.
- Must be able to consistently follow policies, procedures, and established processes.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Professional attitude and customer-service skills.
- Ability to travel to customer locations.
Preferred: CompTIA A+ or equivalent hands-on experience; experience with Dell, HP, Lenovo, or other business-class hardware.
Contractor:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Technicians provide their own transportation and standard IT tools and are responsible for their own taxes and applicable business requirements.
